Module 3: Recognising the Categories of Abuse
Details the main categories of abuse: neglect, physical, emotional, and sexual abuse. Learners will explore common indicators to help identify when children may be at risk.
Module 4: Recognising Different Types of Maltreatment
Covers other safeguarding concerns, including domestic abuse, online abuse, child-on-child abuse, fabricated illness, forced marriage, FGM, trafficking, and radicalisation under the Prevent Duty.
Module 5: Risks and Vulnerabilities
Explores additional vulnerabilities such as SEND, looked-after children, and mental health issues. Considers parental risk factors, adultification, and the long-term impact of Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs).
Module 6: Responding to and Sharing Concerns

Module 9: Professional Boundaries, Safer Practice & Whistleblowing
