Covers other safeguarding concerns, including domestic abuse, online abuse, child-on-child abuse, fabricated illness, forced marriage, FGM, trafficking, and radicalisation under the Prevent Duty.

Explores additional vulnerabilities such as SEND, looked-after children, and mental health issues. Considers parental risk factors, adultification, and the long-term impact of Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs).

Provides guidance on responding to disclosures, recording concerns accurately, and how to talk with parents and carers. Explains how to raise concerns about staff and share information lawfully.

Explains what happens after concerns are referred, including early help and statutory assessments, child protection conferences, and escalation if safeguarding concerns are not acted upon.

Covers the importance of multi-agency working, principles of information sharing, and the role of Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hubs (MASH). Learners will understand how agencies collaborate effectively.

Highlights the importance of professional boundaries and safe working practices to prevent allegations. Explores low-level concerns, whistleblowing procedures, and organisational accountability.
